Coimbatore to host food processing & retail market growth drivers meet

The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (Assocham), in collaboration with the ministry of food processing industries (MoFPI), will organise a national conference on linking growth drivers of food processing industries, market, retail and quality with food safety and skills at Hotel Aloft, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu on November 19, 2013. The meet will commence at 10am and conclude at 5pm.

K Rosaiah, governor, Tamil Nadu, will address the inaugural session as chief guest. Other speakers include K Ramasamy, vice-chancellor, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University; K Alagusundaram, director, Indian Institute of Crop Processing Technology; P Thangamani, minister of industries, Tamil Nadu; S Damodaran, minister of agriculture, Tamil Nadu; U Venkateswarlu, joint secretary, ministry of food processing industries; Sandeep Saxena, agriculture production commissioner and principal secretary, department of agriculture, Tamil Nadu; K Ramasamy, vice-chancellor, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, and Anil Meshram, director, department of agriculture marketing and agri-business.
